Volusian was in his early twenties when Trebonianus Gallus, his father,
became emperor. Shortly thereafter Volusian was made emperor as well. Before he
could make much of a mark on history he as well as his Dad were killed by his
own soldiers just prior to the battle against the forces of Aemilian.
